Villanova and Notre Dame are preparing for an upcoming college basketball matchup, with both programs looking to build momentum early in the season. Notre Dame head coach Micah Shrewsberry was spotted at the ACC basketball tip-off event in Charlotte on October 7, 2026, where he addressed media and outlined expectations for the Fighting Irish.
The Wildcats, coming off a strong previous campaign, will test a Notre Dame squad that is transitioning under Shrewsberry's leadership. The game promises to be an early-season gauge for both teams as they navigate non-conference schedules before conference play begins.
Tip-off time and broadcast details have not yet been announced, but the contest is expected to draw significant attention given the historic rivalry between the two programs.
