NHL trade rumors are circulating linking Detroit Red Wings defenseman Simon Edvinsson to two playoff-contending teams, according to a report from Yahoo Sports citing ClutchPoints.
The 21-year-old Swedish blueliner has drawn interest from undisclosed postseason hopefuls as the Red Wings evaluate their roster options. Edvinsson, selected sixth overall in the 2021 NHL Draft, has shown promise in his early NHL appearances.
No specific teams or trade frameworks were disclosed in the initial report. The Red Wings, currently in a rebuilding phase, may consider moving the young defenseman if the return aligns with their long-term strategy.
