Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has stated that interim manager Michael Carrick was "right" to leave him out of the starting lineup for the match against Bournemouth. Fernandes also dismissed reports of a rift between the pair, describing such claims as "a lot of lies."
The Portugal international's comments came after Carrick opted to bench him for the Premier League fixture. Fernandes supported the tactical decision and insisted there is no disagreement with the coaching staff.
