Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban has weighed in on Ohio State's quarterback situation ahead of the Buckeyes' game against USC. Saban explained that the team's backup quarterback does not need to play hero ball to secure a victory, emphasizing the importance of managing the game within the offensive system.
The analysis was published on October 30, 2026, by Sami Haider. Saban, now a college football analyst, highlighted that Ohio State's overall roster depth and scheme reduce the pressure on a reserve signal-caller to make extraordinary plays.
