Minnesota Frost captain and U.S. Olympian Kendall Coyne Schofield will sit out the upcoming Professional Women's Hockey League season after announcing her pregnancy. The forward helped lead the Frost to the Walter Cup championship on May 26, 2025, in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Coyne Schofield, a multiple-time Olympic medalist with Team USA, has been a cornerstone of the Frost since the league's inception. Her absence represents a significant loss for the defending champions as they prepare for the new campaign.
