A new NFC North 2027 NFL mock draft explores how the division landscape shifts after the Chicago Bears acquire defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons. The projection, published by Vikings Wire on October 31, 2026, examines potential draft strategies for all four division teams in response to the blockbuster move.
The mock draft scenario assumes Simmons, a former Tennessee Titans Pro Bowler, joins Chicago's defensive front, altering the Bears' roster needs and influencing their draft approach two years ahead. Division rivals Detroit, Green Bay, and Minnesota would also adjust their plans based on the strengthened Chicago defense.
Andrew Harbaugh authored the piece for Vikings Wire, part of the USA Today Sports network. The exercise offers an early look at how a major personnel change could ripple through the NFC North's 2027 draft outlook.
