LSU Tigers football fans are awaiting the release of the first College Football Playoff (CFP) committee rankings for the 2026 season. The initial rankings, typically unveiled in early November, will provide the first official indication of where the Tigers stand in the national championship picture.
The CFP selection committee's weekly rankings determine the four teams that will compete in the playoff semifinals. LSU's position will reflect its performance through the first half of the season, including strength of schedule and key victories.
Will Rosenblatt of LSU Wire covered the anticipation surrounding the announcement. The Tigers' ranking will shape expectations for the remainder of the regular season and potential bowl destinations.
