NASCAR Cup Series driver Bubba Wallace, piloting the No. 23 car, kissed the bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday, July 27, 2025, during the Brickyard 400. The traditional victory celebration came amid ongoing debate among fans who want to cast Wallace as a villain but cannot agree on specific actions warranting such characterization.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway's famous "kiss the bricks" tradition dates back to 1996 when Dale Jarrett started the practice after winning the Brickyard 400. Wallace's participation in the ritual highlights his continued presence in NASCAR's premier series.
