The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled on Friday that Russia can return to international hockey competitions, ordering the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) to allow the country to participate in five international tournaments next year. The ruling stated that the federation's safety and security concerns were "not supported by sufficient evidence."
The IIHF expressed disappointment with the decision, which clears the way for Russian teams to compete in upcoming IIHF events.
