UTSA Roadrunners men's basketball head coach Austin Claunch has been arrested and placed on administrative leave, the university announced Thursday.
The arrest comes months after the Roadrunners fell to Wichita State 84-67 on March 1, 2026, at the UTSA Convocation Center. Details regarding the charges against Claunch were not immediately disclosed.
Claunch, who has led the program since 2023, was photographed giving instruction to his team during the March matchup against the Shockers. The university has not released a timeline for his potential return or named an interim replacement.
