The Los Angeles Dodgers are expected to pursue Japanese pitching prospect Oda, according to a report published on October 30, 2026. The right-handed pitcher has drawn interest from multiple Major League Baseball clubs as an international free agent.
Oda, a highly regarded prospect in Japan's professional leagues, features a fastball that reaches the mid-90s and a developing secondary repertoire. Scouts project him as a potential mid-rotation starter at the major league level.
The Dodgers have a history of successful international signings, including Japanese pitchers such as Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani. Their front office continues to scout heavily in the Pacific Rim market.
