Big 12 Conference commissioner Brett Yormark announced on Friday that he will step down from his position to pursue an opportunity outside of college sports. The announcement came on October 30, 2026.
Yormark's departure marks a leadership change for the Big 12 as the conference continues to navigate the evolving landscape of collegiate athletics.
A search for a new commissioner is expected to begin soon.
