Toronto Maple Leafs forward Dakota Joshua came under scrutiny before the team's game against the Vancouver Canucks, with critics questioning his presence on the ice. The criticism surfaced ahead of the matchup, though specific details of the complaints were not disclosed in the initial report.
Joshua, wearing number 81, was photographed in action during an April 8, 2026 game against the Washington Capitals at Scotiabank Arena, where he faced goaltender Logan Thompson. The Maple Leafs' upcoming contest against the Canucks adds divisional rivalry context to the situation.
