Cincinnati Reds outfielder Pagán has declined his player option for the 2027 season, becoming a free agent. The club also announced it will not exercise contract options on infielder Suárez and pitcher Johnson for the coming year.
The moves were confirmed by the Associated Press on Saturday, October 31, 2026. Pagán's decision opens the door for him to test the open market, while the Reds' choices on Suárez and Johnson signal roster changes ahead of the offseason.
