Lewis Hamilton secured his first pole position since 2023 during qualifying for the Mexican Grand Prix at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Saturday. The British driver, now racing for Ferrari, topped the timesheets to claim the top spot on the grid for Sunday's race.
Hamilton's pole marks a significant milestone in his first season with the Scuderia, ending a drought that stretched back to the 2023 season. The seven-time world champion delivered a strong lap under the lights in Mexico City to outpace the field.
Andrea Kimi Antonelli qualified fourth, lining up on the second row for the race. The Mexican Grand Prix is the 20th round of the 2026 Formula 1 World Championship.
