Tim Stützle and Dylan Cozens powered the Ottawa Senators to a 5-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night, giving Ottawa nine wins in October to tie a franchise record for the month. The game took place at SAP Center in San Jose on October 31, 2026.
Stützle, the Senators' center wearing number 18, scored during the second period and was a constant threat throughout the contest. The win marks Ottawa's ninth of October, matching the team's best-ever start to a season in the opening month.
San Jose's lineup featured centers Barclay Goodrow and Macklin Celebrini, along with defensemen Michael Kesselring and Darnell Nurse, but the Sharks could not contain Ottawa's offensive pressure. Fabian Zetterlund and Jordan Spence also saw significant ice time for the Senators.
