Tyrese Maxey erupted for 38 points to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 109-104 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday night. The win came without star center Joel Embiid and noted opponent LeBron James, who was not with the Hornets.
Maxey's scoring outburst carried Philadelphia's offense throughout the contest. The 76ers held off a late Hornets rally to secure the road win in the early-season matchup.
The game took place on November 1, 2026, with Steve Reed reporting for the Associated Press.
