Golden State Warriors' unnamed rookie has declined to participate in media training sessions ahead of a highly anticipated matchup against Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic, according to a report by Thomas L. Murray published on October 30, 2026.
The decision comes as the Warriors prepare to face Doncic, who now plays for the Lakers, in what is being billed as a marquee regular-season contest. The rookie's refusal to engage with media preparation adds an unusual subplot to the buildup.
Details regarding the rookie's identity or specific reasons for skipping media training were not disclosed in the report. The Warriors organization has not publicly commented on the matter.
