NFL fans are questioning the New England Patriots' acquisition of wide receiver A.J. Brown after the player suffered a new injury. The reaction comes following the Patriots' game against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on October 22, 2026, where Brown was seen warming up before the match.
Social media commentary has referenced the Los Angeles Rams' previous decision to pass on Brown, with some fans suggesting there was a specific reason for that choice. Others have warned against trading with Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman, implying the Patriots may have been disadvantaged in the deal that brought Brown to New England.
The wide receiver's latest injury setback has intensified scrutiny of the Patriots' personnel decisions, with fans debating whether the team adequately assessed Brown's durability before acquiring him.
