Atlético Madrid defeated Levante 2-0 in a LaLiga fixture on November 1, 2026, enabling head coach Diego Simeone to match the league wins record set by Luis Aragonés.
The result sees Simeone equal Aragonés's total of LaLiga victories, a milestone for the Argentine manager who has been in charge of Atlético since 2011.
Aragonés, who managed Atlético across four separate spells, previously held the record for the most LaLiga wins by a coach with the club.
