Peterborough United have appointed former Wales international Robbie Savage as their new manager, giving him his first role in the English Football League (EFL). The 51-year-old takes charge at the League One club after managing 120 games in non-league football with Forest Green Rovers and Macclesfield Town.
Savage, who earned 39 caps for Wales during his playing career, has been out of management since leaving Macclesfield in 2024. His appointment was confirmed by the club on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
Peterborough, currently competing in the third tier of English football, will hope Savage's experience and profile can help drive the team toward promotion.
