Four former University of Connecticut Huskies players have won the 2026 WNBA championship as members of the Golden State Valkyries. The Valkyries defeated the Atlanta Dream in Game 7 of the WNBA Finals at Chase Center in San Francisco on October 31, 2026.
Among the UConn alumni on the roster are Kiah Stokes and Gabby Williams, who were photographed celebrating the victory together. The win marks the franchise's first WNBA title since the Valkyries joined the league as an expansion team.
The decisive Game 7 concluded a hard-fought series between Golden State and Atlanta. The Valkyries' championship run adds another chapter to UConn's legacy of producing professional basketball champions, with four former Huskies now holding WNBA title rings from the 2026 season.
