Former NBA forward Taj Gibson revealed he was terrified before participating in a ceremony honoring his longtime teammate Derrick Rose, according to a report from Gameday Chitown on Sunday.
Gibson, who played alongside Rose during their time with the Chicago Bulls and later with the New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons, spoke about the emotional weight of the tribute event. The specific details of the honor and when it took place were not disclosed in the initial report.
Both players were key figures during the Bulls' resurgence in the early 2010s, with Rose winning the 2011 MVP award and Gibson establishing himself as a premier defensive big man off the bench.
