Florida State University has fired head football coach Mike Norvell, prompting a search for his successor. According to a report by Christian D'Andrea for Yahoo Sports, the program is considering five candidates, one of whom is described as an old friend of the program.
The university has not officially announced the list of candidates, but the report suggests the search is underway as the Seminoles look to rebuild after a disappointing season.
