Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh described the team's decision to trade defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons as something that "sucks" but called it "necessary" during a press conference on October 29, 2026.
Saleh acknowledged the difficulty of moving a player of Simmons' caliber but emphasized that the move aligns with the organization's long-term strategy.
The trade marks a significant shift for the Titans' defensive line as they look to reshape the roster ahead of the upcoming season.
