Michael Carrick expects to remain in charge of Manchester United despite the team's defeat to Chelsea, which extended their winless run to nine games. The result leaves United in a difficult position as they search for their first victory in over a month.
Carrick, who has been under increasing pressure following a string of poor results, addressed the media after the match and indicated he has not considered stepping down. The former United midfielder took charge of the first team on an interim basis and has overseen a challenging period for the club.
The loss to Chelsea marked the ninth consecutive game without a win across all competitions, a run that has seen United slip down the Premier League table. Carrick acknowledged the frustration among supporters but insisted he remains focused on turning the situation around.
United's next fixture will be crucial as they attempt to break the winless streak and relieve the mounting pressure on the coaching staff.
