The Boston Red Sox have parted ways with relief pitcher Zack Kelly after five seasons with the organization, the team announced on Tuesday.
Kelly, a right-handed reliever, spent the entirety of his major league career with Boston since making his debut. The move comes as the Red Sox continue to reshape their bullpen ahead of the offseason.
The 29-year-old appeared in 47 games for Boston last season, posting a 4.11 ERA with 42 strikeouts over 46 innings. He was arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter.
