Sunderland will travel to the Coventry Building Society Arena for a Championship fixture as they aim to climb the table, following their dramatic play-off semi-final victory over Coventry City in May 2025.
In that second leg at the Stadium of Light, Daniel Ballard's header off the crossbar secured a place in the Wembley final for Sunderland. The Black Cats will hope to replicate that success in their next meeting at Coventry's ground.
The match comes as Sunderland seek to improve their league position after a mixed start to the season.
