Oklahoma Sooners head coach Brent Venables has outlined his top priority in the search for the program's next offensive coordinator, according to a report from Gridiron Heroics on Wednesday.
The announcement comes as Oklahoma looks to fill the vacancy on its offensive staff ahead of the 2027 season. Venables, entering his fourth season at the helm, did not disclose specific candidates but emphasized the importance of finding a coordinator who aligns with his vision for the offense.
The Sooners finished the 2026 campaign with a 9-4 record and a bowl victory. The offensive coordinator position has been open since the departure of the previous coordinator earlier this month.
