The College Football Playoff selection committee released its first rankings of the 2026 season on November 4, placing the Georgia Bulldogs at No. 2.
The Bulldogs, who defeated Florida on October 31 in Atlanta, saw linebacker Chris Cole recover a fumble during that game. The committee's initial top 25 sets the stage for the playoff race.
