The College Football Playoff rankings have added significant weight to Saturday's matchup between the top-ranked Miami Hurricanes and No. 11 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Miami enters the game as one of only three undefeated teams in the Football Bowl Subdivision, while Notre Dame carries a 7-1 record.
Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr will lead the Irish in what is being described as a pivotal home game. The Hurricanes' top ranking and unbeaten status make them heavy favorites, but the Fighting Irish will look to upset the playoff picture at home.
The game carries major implications for the playoff race, with Miami aiming to solidify its position at the summit and Notre Dame seeking a signature win to boost its postseason resume.
