Naugatuck High School's boys soccer team captured its third consecutive Naugatuck Valley League championship on Tuesday, defeating Watertown 3-1 in a penalty shootout at Municipal Stadium in Waterbury, Connecticut.
The victory extended the Greyhounds' dominance in the league, securing the title after regulation and overtime ended without a decisive goal. The penalty-kick triumph came on November 3, 2026, with the team posing for photos with the championship banner afterward.
Kevin Roberts of Hearst Connecticut Media photographed the celebration, and the game was reported by CT Insider on November 4, 2026.
