West Ham United have officially appointed Scott Parker as their new head coach, bringing the former England midfielder back to the London Stadium. The announcement comes after Parker's Burnley side suffered a 3-2 defeat at the same venue last November.
The 43-year-old returns to the Premier League following a spell in charge of Burnley, where he guided the club in the Championship. Parker previously managed Fulham and Bournemouth in the top flight, earning promotion with both clubs.
West Ham's decision to appoint Parker signals a new direction for the east London club as they look to build on recent European campaigns and establish consistent Premier League form. The former Chelsea, Newcastle United, and West Ham player will take charge immediately.
