Former Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips has defended the club's titles won during a nine-year period that is now linked to a guilty verdict.
Speaking on November 4, 2026, Wright-Phillips argued that the achievements on the pitch should stand regardless of the off-field proceedings.
The verdict relates to charges brought by the Premier League concerning the club's financial conduct over a span of nine seasons.
Wright-Phillips, who played for City from 2005 to 2008 and again in 2011, said the players' efforts earned the trophies legitimately.
