A coach has raised concerns about potential UFC influence on a controversial referee standup during a fight at UFC Vegas 123, which featured Tom Nolan and Renato Moicano. The coach suggested that fighters who do not adhere to a certain fighting style may find themselves excluded from future opportunities, stating, “If you don’t fight a certain fight, you’re not getting in.” The incident has sparked discussion about officiating consistency and promotional pressure within the organization.
The report, published by SB Nation on November 4, 2026, highlights the ongoing debate over referee decisions and whether external factors play a role in fight outcomes. Neither the coach nor the specific fight in question were identified in the initial report.
