Vancouver Canucks goaltending situation is drawing attention as the team evaluates the futures of Kevin Lankinen, Thatcher Demko and Arturs Silovs. Reports suggest the organization is exploring a potential buyout for Lankinen while assessing long-term plans for Demko and the development of Silovs.
The goaltending trio represents different stages of career trajectories for the Canucks. Demko has been the established starter when healthy, while Lankinen joined as a veteran backup option. Silovs, a younger prospect, continues to develop within the system.
Sportsnaut's Marcus Yu reported on November 4, 2026 that the Canucks are weighing their options across all three netminders as they shape their roster for upcoming seasons.
