USC head coach Lincoln Riley addressed a heated postgame exchange with Ohio State athletic director Ross Bjork following the Trojans' 30-18 victory over the Buckeyes at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Viral videos showed Riley attempting to escort his family off the field when they were delayed by Ohio State personnel, leading to a verbal confrontation between Riley and Bjork as they walked toward the tunnel.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Riley downplayed the incident, attributing it to postgame adrenaline. "Not an issue. Just typical emotions after the game. We squashed it on the way up the tunnel. Ross is a good guy and a really good AD. Just really a non-issue," Riley said. He declined to specify what sparked the shouting match. The win, the biggest of Riley's tenure at USC, may serve as a season turning point after speculation about his job security. The Trojans have an open date before traveling to face Indiana next weekend.
