Arizona State men's basketball head coach Randy Bennett secured a victory in his coaching debut as the Sun Devils defeated the East Tennessee State Buccaneers at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe on November 2, 2026.
Bennett, who took over the program ahead of the 2026-27 season, was photographed directing his team during the contest. The win marks the start of a new chapter for Arizona State basketball under Bennett's leadership.
The game served as Bennett's first official appearance on the sidelines as a head coach at the Division I level. Arizona State will look to build on the opening-night success as the regular season progresses.
