Milan Momcilovic made an immediate impact in his Kentucky debut, scoring 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including 6-of-9 from three-point range, leading the Wildcats to an 85-57 victory over Manhattan on Tuesday night.
The 6-foot-9 forward transferred from Iowa State after three seasons, where he shot 48.7% from three-point range on 7.5 attempts per game and helped the Cyclones reach the Sweet 16 twice. Kentucky reportedly secured his commitment with a name, image, and likeness package worth around $6 million.
Coach Mark Pope said after the game that he would like Momcilovic to take 15 three-pointers per game if possible. The sharpshooter has now connected on 49.3% of his three-point attempts over his last 38 contests, dating back to last season at Iowa State.
Kentucky remains No. 20 in the updated CBS Sports Top 25 And 1 daily college basketball rankings.
