Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy issued an apology to New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman following a remark made during the World Series postgame proceedings, according to a report by JR Radcliffe of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The incident occurred after the conclusion of the World Series on November 4, 2026. Details of the specific comment that prompted the apology were not disclosed in the initial report. Murphy, who has managed the Brewers since 2024, addressed the matter directly with Cashman in the aftermath of the championship series.
Both organizations have declined further comment on the exchange. The Yankees fell short in their World Series bid, while the Brewers' season had concluded earlier in the postseason.
