The Oakland Athletics have hired Cam Castro from the Milwaukee Brewers to serve as the team's new general manager, the club announced Wednesday. Castro joins the Athletics' front office after spending time with the Brewers organization, bringing his baseball operations experience to Oakland's leadership group.
The move was reported by Mark Anderson of the Associated Press on November 4, 2026. Castro's appointment marks a significant addition to the Athletics' baseball operations department as the franchise continues to shape its management structure.
