Florida State University's interim head coach Rick Stockstill is preparing for what he describes as a "street fight" in his first game leading the Seminoles against Boston College. Stockstill, who previously served as head coach at Middle Tennessee State, takes over the program on an interim basis. The matchup marks his debut at the helm of the Florida State football team.
Stockstill's coaching experience includes a lengthy tenure at Middle Tennessee, where he compiled a record of 113-111 over 18 seasons. His familiarity with high-pressure situations is expected to be tested immediately against a Boston College squad known for its physical style of play.
The game represents a critical juncture for the Seminoles as they navigate a coaching transition. Stockstill emphasized the need for toughness and execution in his pregame remarks, framing the contest as a battle that will require maximum effort from his players.
