Kansas City Chiefs head coach announced a decision regarding kicker Harrison Butker following the team's signing of veteran kicker Justin Tucker. The announcement comes after Tucker, a longtime Baltimore Ravens standout, joined the Chiefs roster.
Details of the decision were not immediately disclosed. Butker, who has been the Chiefs' primary kicker since 2017, was photographed celebrating a field goal against the Las Vegas Raiders at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on December 12, 2021.
The move adds competition to the Chiefs' special teams unit as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
