San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner has been identified as a potential target to strengthen the Las Vegas Raiders' run defense, according to a Raiders Wire analysis published Wednesday.
The "Gimme Him" column by Marvin Uzor suggests Warner's elite tackling ability and sideline-to-sideline speed would address a key weakness for the Raiders, who have struggled against the run in recent seasons.
Warner, a four-time All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowl selection, remains under contract with the 49ers through the 2026 season. Any acquisition would require significant trade compensation given his status as one of the NFL's premier off-ball linebackers.
The Raiders' defensive front seven has undergone multiple changes in recent years, but the team continues to search for a consistent three-down linebacker capable of diagnosing plays and limiting yards after contact.
