Former NFL quarterback Philip Rivers is reportedly in serious talks to become the next head football coach at North Carolina State University.
Rivers, 44, spent 17 seasons in the NFL, including a final year with the Indianapolis Colts in 2020. Since retiring from professional play, he has been coaching at the high school level in Alabama.
The discussions are described as advanced, though no formal agreement has been announced. If finalized, the move would mark Rivers' first head coaching position at the collegiate level.
