The Wisconsin Badgers have earned the number one ranking in NCAA men's ice hockey ahead of their Border Battle rivalry series. The top ranking comes after the Badgers competed in the Frozen Four championship game against the Denver Pioneers on April 11, 2026, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Defenseman Joe Palodichuk, wearing number 14, was photographed warming up before the championship game. The Frozen Four represents the culmination of the NCAA men's ice hockey tournament, with the Badgers reaching the final showdown.
