The San Antonio Express-News has released its preseason top 10 girls basketball rankings for the 2026-27 season, with the Brennan Bears securing the number one position. The rankings were published on November 4, 2026, by reporter David Hinojosa.
The announcement follows the Bears' strong showing in the previous season, highlighted by a Class 6A Division I state semifinal appearance on March 3, 2026, at Manor Sr. High School. In that game, Brennan forward Isabella Ward was photographed driving to the basket against Summer Creek Bulldogs defender Kaylen Alexander.
