England captain Harry Kane has signed a contract extension with Bayern Munich that will keep him at the Bundesliga club until 2029, the German champions announced on Thursday. The new deal comes just one week after Kane was awarded the Ballon d'Or, recognizing him as the world's best player for the 2025-26 season.
The 33-year-old striker joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023 and has since established himself as one of the most prolific scorers in European football. In his debut season, Kane netted 44 goals across all competitions, helping Bayern secure the Bundesliga title.
Bayern's sporting director Christoph Freund described the extension as a "clear statement" of the club's ambition, while Kane expressed his delight at continuing his career in Munich. The forward's previous contract was due to expire in 2027.
