Sacred Heart University's men's basketball team features six players with connections to Connecticut, highlighting deep local ties within the program.
Among them is redshirt freshman guard Kevin Pikiell, son of former UConn standout and current Rutgers head coach Steve Pikiell. Sacred Heart head coach Anthony Latina and Steve Pikiell previously worked together as assistants at Central Connecticut under Howie Dickenman.
The roster's Connecticut contingent underscores the program's regional recruiting focus and the interconnected nature of the state's basketball community.
