The Miami Dolphins are mourning the passing of another member from the franchise's historic 1972 undefeated championship team. The organization announced the loss on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, marking another departure from the only NFL squad to complete a perfect season.
The 1972 Dolphins remain unique in league history, finishing 17-0 en route to a Super Bowl VII victory. With each passing year, the living members of that legendary roster grow fewer.
